At this year’s DZL annual meeting, two Fraunhofer ITEM scientists were selected for plenary presentations: Helena Obernolte (disease area “Asthma & Allergy”) and Olaf Holz (disease area “COPD”). Another scientist of the Fraunhofer ITEM was successful with his poster presentation in a session where young scientists present their projects, from which the audience subsequently selects their favorite: Sebastian Konzok won the poster prize with his presentation entitled “Bacterial and viral PAMPs and cellular DAMPs lead to activation of the inflammasome in human lung tissue ex-vivo”.
