EurOPDX Workshop 2018
The second workshop of the EurOPDX Consortium will be held in Weggis (Switzerland) from October 1 to 3, 2018.
The EurOPDX Consortium is an initiative of researchers from 18 academic cancer centers and universities across Europe and the United States, with the common goal of creating a network of clinically relevant models of human cancer, patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models in particular. In the past five years, the Consortium has started to work on structuring European efforts in the field, for instance through the harmonization of procedures and activities to make its joined resource of 1500+ PDX models accessible to the scientific community.
Building on the success of the Consortium’s first educational workshop in October 2016, this event will now become bi-annual. Featuring in this year’s program are speakers from the Consortium as well as from other international academic institutions and industry.
Fraunhofer ITEM will also actively participate in the program: scientist Catherine Botteron will present recent research results in an oral presentation.
