Fraunhofer ITEM contributes to REMADYL project

REMADYL, a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Framework Program, aims at the removal of legacy substances from polyvinylchloride (PVC) via a continuous and sustainable extrusion process, providing a means for circular economy/use of PVC material. The project team includes 15 European partners, bringing together a set of multidisciplinary skills and expertise to jointly pursue the set project goal. One of the participants is Fraunhofer, namely Fraunhofer ICT and Fraunhofer ITEM. Fraunhofer ITEM will be contributing to the process by (process-accompanied) contaminant assessment and the compilation of a best-practice guide with focus on occupational health and safety during handling of the final product and by-products.
