LifeScienceNet Düsseldorf: Trends in Single Cell Analysis #3
The webinar “Trends in Single Cell Analysis #3” will be held on February 23, 2022, 4:00-6:00 p.m. (CET), continuing the event format “Life Science Innovation”. This online event will address a current focus of translational research: 2D and 3D cultivation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and their in-vivo expansion in animal models. The aim is to develop more relevant and more specific preclinical tumor models for efficacy testing of novel but also of known drugs against potentially metastasizing tumor cells such as CTCs in a personalized fashion and to screen compound libraries for new active substances for personalized tumor therapies.
Dr. Christian Werno, Manager of the Regensburg-based Fraunhofer ITEM Working Group on Preclinical Therapy Models, will contribute an oral presentation about the “Establishment and characterization of CTC-derived in vitro and in vivo models for individualized testing of drug susceptibility”.
