With us, you can look forward to a well-founded apprenticeship where you will be guided and supported by experienced mentors. You are not alone: in our apprentice network, you can connect, exchange ideas, and support one another.
To help you build your professional expertise, you will benefit from training opportunities across the large Fraunhofer network – and you will also have access to our e-learning platform, allowing you to continue learning flexibly at any time.
Your work-life balance also matters to us. With flexible working hours and the option to work partly from home, you will have enough time for friends, family, and leisure.
And because an apprenticeship is not only about learning but also about living, you can enjoy many additional benefits: attractive discounts through our corporate benefits program, 30 days of vacation, a company pension plan, and access to our staff restaurant with reduced prices.
The apprenticeship generally lasts three years, with a weekly working time of 39 hours – an exciting period in which you will grow step by step into your profession.
Your main responsibilities after onboarding include:
- Installing and managing various software environments for our application systems in laboratories and offices
- Analyzing incident reports and service requests from employees in our user helpdesk using a modern ticket and service system
- Supporting and advising users, helping them better understand software and devices
- Providing hardware, software, storage, and network components – including virtual environments
- Ensuring devices are up to date through automated software distribution and patch management
- Monitoring network components and servers carefully
- Implementing small-scale projects with the guidance of experienced colleagues
Your vocational school
Your vocational school is the Multi Media Vocational Schools (MMBbS) located at Expo Plaza in Hannover. Classes are held in block sessions – a few weeks at school followed by time back with us in practice – so it never gets boring.
At school, in addition to general education subjects, you will focus on IT-related learning areas that will prepare you for your future as an IT specialist in system integration. This means you will not only learn the basics but also gain plenty of practical knowledge and hands-on skills that you can apply directly in your job.
