Potential risks from a chemical substance to human health and the environment must be assessed, before the substance can be authorized for commercialization.

In collaboration with Prof. Ralf Ebinghaus of the Helmholtz Centre Hereon in Geesthacht, we will be offering the module “Law, International Regulations & Chemicals Management“.

In our virtual lectures, we will discuss the challenges of assessing biocides, cosmetics, industrial chemicals, and foods with regard to potential risks to human health and the environment and of getting these substances authorized. The team of the Fraunhofer ITEM Department of Regulatory Affairs has many years of experience, enabling detailed insights into the individual regulations and thematic areas.
